Last month the art world embraced their passion by
encouraging artists to draw every day and referred to it as Inktober. I thought this was a wonderful idea and drew
every day without fail, if even just for a few minutes to unwind and relieve some
stress for the day.
In keeping with the theme I thought this month should be NoExcusesNovember – no excuses to put off something that brightens my day, no excuses to relax, and no excuses to not let myself be Lost In Art, if even for just a few fleeting moments.

This is what I drew when I was Lost In Art earlier today...Sharpie pen in hand and my daughter on my mind.
I hope something inspires you to spend a few moments and reflect upon the things you love.
I absolutely love to inspire people to create art and needed a push myself.
I fell in love with this work by Jasmine Kay Uy.
Very true...don't just look at one side of things, looking at it in its totality will give you greater perspective.
Uy created this for her University of Texas at Austin Department of Art and Art History Digital Foundations class with Bethany Johnson titled "Art is Pointless...". The prompt was to create a work that investigated site-specificity, public setting, and text-based art using Illustrator and the vinyl cutter.
