I drew this crazy eyed creation thinking about all the stuff we just have to buy to make our lives better and the way we sometimes feel trapped by our lives.

I was talking to retail employees that never got to eat dinner with their families because they had to be at work by 4pm to open the doors for the selling frenzy at 6pm...that's just not fair.

Thanksgiving weekend and all I see are people shopping for presents, bigger than last year's, the hottest items, the newest fads, and the game that's going to make their kids smile.  Hogwash! give them a better present this year - the gift of your time.

Put down your cell phone and latest tech gadget and spend some quality time with your family.

Get out the coloring books and crayons and draw silly pictures with the kids.  Smell the colorful sticks of wax and remember life as a child.  Back when life was simpler, and the biggest concern of your day was what Mom was going to make for dinner that night or who you were going to hang out with for the weekend.

Put down your cell phone and latest tech gadget and spend some quality time with your family.

This was created for a show called More.  I made the words red, white, and blue to symbolize the colors of our flag...we as Americans are always looking for more - more possessions, more wealth, more toys, just more, more more...

Enter My Subconscious

In keeping with my NoExcusesNovember theme I decided to make the most of my time today.  Waiting for a tow truck is always fun when you have a doodle pad and pen handy.  I was listening to some cool tunes on the radio and thinking my schedule just went down the drain…enter my subconscious.

I had no intentions as usual, and what should appear - a piano with a spiraling staircase.
Never know what will come out of my pen when I get
 Lost In Art...

I came across an old deserted building in my travels (after the car got a checkup at the car doctor) and thought it would be a cool place to take some photographs one of these days.

Fast forward several hours later when I came home I found this article in my news feed and it got me to wondering if we would get in trouble painting old deserted buildings.
